Post Lion Skill Guide~

This is to help you pick the right skills and not pick the ones you don't need:

So the Skill Build Goes:

Stone Strike lvl 5
Gun Carrier
Invincible Reload
Gun Booster lvl 10/Mastered
Load on the Move
(2ND JOB)
Power Shot Max/Master
Random Shot Max/Master

Stone Strike lvl 10
Armor Destrustor lvl 1
Lucky 7 lvl 10/Mastered
Double Shot Max/Mastered

TM Lvl 1 - Stone Stike - Basically used untl lvl 25-30 then its just useless, but you need it at lvl 10 to get Armor Destructor, then get Lucky 7
Point Cost For Level 1: 1
SS Formula - SS Attack Power = (perception power + 1) x magnification ratio

TM Lvl 15 - Gun Carrier - Of course you need this, its the only way to hold a gun

TM Lvl 20 - Sticky Foot - This is ok, but not recommend to get till you get the higher lvls because once you fight bosses that have high avoid or go in pvp to help you defeat Charm Types easier
Point Cost For Level 1: 1
SF Formula - HV Decrease = perception power x evasion power decrease (%)

TM Lvl 25 -Invincible Reload - You need this so you don't interuppeted every time you get hit

TM Lvl 30 - Gun Booster - Best skill to help you out at lvl 30+ once its mastered or maxed it will do amazing damage and out damage any Power Type at your lvl
Point Cost For Level 1: 3
Skill Master Points: 3
Skill Master Item:Blue Feathers 14

Skill Master Item Location:Nephthys

TM Lvl 40 - Armor Destructor - You dont really need this, you just need it to get it at lvl 1 to get Lucky 7, but after a while you might need it in pvp or kill bosses
Point Cost For Level 1: 2

TM Lvl 40 - Loading on the Move - This will help you be able to do the "shoot and run" method so you dont get hurt as much and not waste potions

TM Lvl 50 - Lucky Seven - Raises the chance of aim for you gun which helps a lot for a lion (Helps in Compounding as well)
Point Cost For Level 1: 4
Skill Master Points: 3
Skill Master Item: Salamander Eggs 9

Skill Master Item Location: Standing Salamander

About the other skills:
TM Lvl 1 - Invincible Drill - Most useless skill to have for lions, if you got it, too bad you wasted a tm point because it suppose to protect you while you drill, but whos going to go to active areas that have lvl 300 monsters at lvl 10 just to find out the depth of the area is 160m and the beginner drill can only go up to 20m

TM Lvl 1 - Sixth Sense - This is only meant for Foxes, you don't need more crit damage

TM Lvl 10 - Heavy Carrier - Another useless skill to use because once you are full you can use storage instead of keeping it all on you, perfered by Foxes for Fear Bag (a 2nd job fox skill)

TM Lvl 15 - Shuriken Master - THIS IS FOR FOXES, DONT GET IT because your going to be using a gun not throwing stuff at monsters

About the Compound Master Skill: Requirement TM Lvl 70 - This skill will make you able to have a higher percentage on compounding, nice if you want to make nice equips, but let it up to the pure luck senses to deal with that, you could get it but its not suggested if you already have a friend to do it for you anyways

Here is the Level Increase if needed:

About the Basic Detection Skill: Requirement TM Lvl 35 - This skill will help out the best to make sure you find something without wasteing time, only needed if you like to dig a lot, mostly loved by foxes instead of lions because of their high da

Here is the Level Increase if needed:

If you want to find out more information on the 2nd Job Skills check out the other Skill Guide: Lion 2nd Job Skill Guide

SUPER UPDATED 11/3/06 (Update 2.0) - Changed the look of the thread and added a skill info, locations, and new builds

The end of your guide goes into 2nd job TM points, and IMO, I don't think getting lucky seven first is worth it :P

well flarius even tho 2nd job is not out yet, those 2 skills at the end, can be bought now and lucky 7 is worth getting if you want to hit more crits but if you dont want to get it dont get it

closeone is ok to keep cuz remaking it now will just take you longer and its just beta so its all good, but dont lvl up those skills anymore

I would remake because on their site it says that there will not be a character wipe.

I have level 1 sixth sense is it a big enough screw up to have to remake my char? I find the heavy carrier skill quite useful since i can fight or drill for lnoger without having to walk back to town which is kind of annoying, nonetheless ill keep it at 1... btw im lvl 10.

Wait... I thought sixth sense increased DA so you can know if there is an item underneath you or not.. it's for crits?

For the change from closed beta to open, there won't be, but they haven't mentioned about anything after that o_O. There most probably WILL be a wipe after beta, it would be ridiculous to not have one.

since your at a low lvl you could remake and recover pretty fast, but if your too lazy you can just keep it and not put anymore points on it

"Wait... I thought sixth sense increased DA so you can know if there is an item underneath you or not.. it's for crits?" - illeszt

sixth sense does increase your DA and help find an item in the ground, but not very good for Lions because they dont need it as much as foxes do and Lions need more Luck because their Aim is based on Luck like Magic Types

"hey are you that Lion that I card battled with?" - shadowmissle

yup ^_^ i sold you that flat lizard card for 2k

For fox. Final 2nd job skill needs to get level 10 heavy carrier skill.

And basic detection DON'T DETECT things over 80 m when master. SO getting it for nora drills is nothing.

THe only way not to waste a drill is to keep digging until it say "something here" with a light bulb.

*Off topic*
And all drills is bug =( 5 life = 4 tries

They said on the site and everything around when it first came out. There would be NO wipe. I also have heard this from other games also, and they wiped the servers anyway. So, no one is right or wrong with this. Just have to wait til open beta. Pretty good guide, thinking about starting a lion myself.

I know this is an old topic, but like i did more people might end up reading it, besides the fact that i think it deservers a bump.

Don't you need Stone Strike lvl 10 for Armor Destructor lvl 1?

yes you need stone strike at lvl 10 to get armor dest but its not really needed till tm lvl 50, so you can spend those points on something more useful like booster b4 getting lvl 10 stone strike

*cough* about t he level 5 stone strike, you need it to be level 10 for armor destructor.

Id go with 10 SS Gun Carrier, Invincable reload, Booster (masterd), Armor Destructor 1, Lucky seven(masterd) and compound master. (possibly mastering it) Thats my build.

getting lvl 10 stone strike early wont let you master gun booster till around lvl 40, booster master at lvl 30 is best to get you quick lvled to lvl 40 because there is a lot of gun weak monsters, in your build you forgot load on the move, compound master is better off not getting, you can just go to the compound guy to make pots, the pots you make in compound master you only get to make a pot that heals only 400, you are not going to use those forever plus trying to find the item is a pain. Compound Master is a lvl 70 skill, kinda useless if you want t osave up points for 2nd job plus i dont even have tm lvl 70 yet, and im almost 100+

Compound Master isn't used for item composition.. it gives better results for item growth compounding.
