| CujoEX's Breaker Guide CujoEX's Breaker Guide
ver 0.02 ----------------
1.0 Introduction
----------------
I created this guide for the people who prefer a defensive strategy rather than pure offensive build. Keep in mind that this build will NOT make you the strongest Buffalo in the game, but rather the most strategic defensive Buffalo. -----------------------
1.1 About Breaker Build
-----------------------
The build is known as "Breaker Build." Most of you would probably think that this build is too weak, however, the build is useful in a long-run. Each Breaker Skill decreases a sub-growth by a certain percent, rather than a fixed number. By weakening the opponent what they're best at, the Buffalo will have the upper hand to take him or her down.
Also, keep in mind that in your higher level (estimation LV 150~200), you'll eventually have enough TM to master every skill available for First and Second Job. In other words, even if you placed your Skill Points elsewhere, it won't do any permanent mistakes (unlike Maple Story). ------------------
2.0 Breaker Skills
------------------
Here's a short list and descriptions about each Breaker Skill
TMLv: 20 Sense Breaker
Prerequisite: None
TM for Skill: 1
TM for Master: 2
LV 10 : 48 MP, 5s Cool Time, -42% DA on the enemy for 32s
Master: 54 MP, 5s Cool Time, -51% DA on the enemy for 38s
Description: This skill loweres the perception of an enemy. It works best against a Pure DA Fox, DA/LK Hybrid Fox, melee Lions, Critical Buffalos/Bunnies
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~
TMLv: 20 Luck Breaker
Description: This skill loweres the accuracy of an enemy. It works best against any melee AND long range characters. It's been tested that it lowers not only the damage of Lion Gunners, but also their Gun Accuracy and the Fox's Assassin Throw. However, it does not lower the accuracy of a Raccoon/Cat's Galder Throw.
TM for Master: 2
2.1 Skill Builds
----------------
Here is my recommend skill table for the Breaker Build: Level and Skill Name : TM Used
------------------------+--------
LV 10 Shockwave : 10 (2 more for Mastery)
LV 10 Bull's Eye : 11 (2 more for Mastery)
LV 10 Sense Breaker : 10 (2 more for Mastery)
LV 10 Shockvibe : 10 (2 more for Mastery)
LV 10 Armor Breaker : 11 (2 more for Mastery)
LV 1 Knockdown : 4
------------------------+--------
Total TM Used : 66
Total TM Unused : 54 From here, you're wondering what you should spend the rest of the 54 TM points on. If you master all the skills, then your table should look like this: Level and Skill Name : TM Used
------------------------+--------
LV 10 Shockwave : 12
LV 10 Bull's Eye : 13
LV 10 Sense Breaker : 12
LV 10 Luck Breaker : 12
LV 1 Knockdown : 4
------------------------+--------
Total TM Used : 78
Total TM Unused : 42 You don't have to master all of them. This is just to give you the general idea if you plan to create your own build using this guide.
For the rest of the TM points, I recommend the following: Highly Recommended
TMLv: 20 Burning Rave
Prerequisite: None
TM for Skill: 2
TM for Master: 2
LV 10 : 34 MP, 1s Cool Time, Deals 280% from AP
LV 10 : 290 MP, 10s Cool Time, +15% AP for 145s
| Hmmm... Interesting, so far most choices are made among 1vs1 buffalo and pure AoE guides, or so i've seen. Breaking down your enemy does prove useful at times though. | | (Offline)
| Exactly the case. It's even more effective if they're a higher level since the skills lower the stats by percentage, not a fixed amount.
For example, if they have 20 AC, using Mastered Shockvibe would leave them at 10 AC. Not that big of a deal. But if they have 500 AC, a Mastered Shockvibe would leave them at245 AC. That's a big drop of accuracy.
Imagine versing a lion with 500 AC. That would deal about 2500 damage. Casting Shockvibe can lower it's hit rate as well as damage. There's less than a 49% chance of landing a 1225 damage on you. | | (Offline)
| Well, the point of this guide is to focus on the enemy's offense as well as defense.
If the accuracy relies on LK, then Luck Breaker will own. If the accuracy relies on AC, then Shockvibe will own. Taking out their accuracy should be enough to take them on. Debuffing them more than once could cost you precious attacking time. Don't forget that the skill doesn't last forever on them. *Edit*
I think I see where you're heading. Like taking a Fox for example. It relies on both DA and LK for damage. Doing Sense Breaker and Luck Breaker would sound leathal towards a Fox, however, you might just fit one or two hits before recasting both of them again.
I find it more useful to focus on the strongest point of the enemy and crush it, then attack as much as you can before recasting it again. | | (Offline)
| CujoEX, in minty's guide ...
C. Sense Breaker -perception
E. Shockvibe -accuracy
F. Luck Breaker -luck
(the following applies to all three skills)
Requirements: TMlevel 20, no skill prereqs, 2000g
Prerequisites of: none
Specifics: Single Target stat debuff
Cooldown: 5s
Level UP Effects -> MP use, stat debuff multiplier, duration increases with level
Level 1 : 30MP, 0.009375x, 14s duration [1TM to learn]
Level 2 : 32MP, 0.011250x, 16s duration
Level 3 : 34MP, 0.013125x, 18s duration
Level 4 : 36MP, 0.015000x, 20s duration
Level 5 : 38MP, 0.016875x, 22s duration
Level 6 : 40MP, 0.018750x, 24s duration
Level 7 : 42MP, 0.020625x, 26s duration
Level 8 : 44MP, 0.025000x, 28s duration
Level 9 : 46MP, 0.024375x, 30s duration
Level 10: 48MP, 0.026250x, 32s duration
Level M : 54MP, 0.031875x, 38s duration [2TM to master]
Target's stat decrease = Your Atk stat x multiplier
For Shockvibe: stat decrease = 49 + (Your Atk stat x multiplier)
-Perception stat...we're talking the synthesis stat in my stat guide, this stat also effects critical damage, this is what you are trying to reduce with this skill.
-the chart above applies to all three skills, each is separate from the others in terms of cooldown, this is NOT one skill!
-amount is rounded down(against your favor)
Is anyone able to confirm that the formulas are correct? esp for the shockvibe one. This is because, for a bunny with 2000 atk its like 112 ac decrease! Another thing is, the Atk stat it is talking about, is it base AP or does that include your weapon AP? | | (Offline)
| issacfrost has a pretty good discussion of the debuffs in the "general guides" forum: http://mytrickster.net/forum/general...=rectification
judging from a quick look through, i don't think cujoEX is working with the correct formulas. issacfrost's formulas are right, and minty adjusted the skill multipliers correctly as well.
this is what's in the jWiki: Armor Breaker
DP Decrease = Total AP * AB Skill (%) Sense Breaker
DA Decrease = Total AP / 16 * SB Skill (%) Shockvibe
AC Decrease = 49 + [Total AP / 16 * SV Skill (%)] Luck Breaker
Luck Decrease = Total AP / 16 * LB Skill (%) | | (Offline)
| I see, that means Shockvibe completely rocks because you can do a -49 AC even if you have low low AP.  | | (Offline)
| I got my information from jWiki. I've noticed that the eTO and jTO variables are different. I'll fix that when I have the time. Sorry about that. | | (Offline)
