1.0 Personal Introduction
-------------------------
Hey kids. I'm Cujo. I started this guide on my 5th day of Trickster Online after reading a bunch of threads on how to create a good Buffalo. I found out about this game through my friends from Maple Story and Survival Project and found this game very fun. They could've toned down with the transparancy and the music switching so it wouldn't be too laggy though. Anyways, I made this guide so that most of you won't have to go through the same research I went through to get the same information I have. Please pardon my grammer and spelling errors, but I'm pretty sure you'll be able to understand what I'm trying to say. Happy Trickstering! --------------

2.1 Buffalo Information
----------------------- Job:
First Job- Fighter
Second Job- Warrior (according to Japanese Trickster Online)
Third Job- Gladiator (Full Buffalo Build) or Martial Arts Master (Hybrid Boxer) (according to Japanese Trickster Online) Type: Power Appearance: A strong, bully type character with big horns on top of his head. He wears a red scarf and a protective bandage on his arm. Reason for coming to Caballa Island: He is a professional fighter who would challenge and fight anybody. He unknowingly competes in an illegal fight and seriously injures his opponent in a win. But only finds out about it after he was cheated off his prize money by his manager. He comes to Caballa Island to make money to take care of his injured opponent and his family. Pros: Depending on your starting statistics, Buffalos are known to have the strongest melee power in the game. Their defence is high and their Health Points (HP) is the highest in the game. If you're new to Trickster Online, then Buffalo is a great starters' choice for you. Cons: Though Buffalos are known to be one of the fastest characters to level up in the game (at an early level), they become a bit weaker in damage compared to other characters in the game in a long run. They also have the least amount of Weight Capacity in the game. Their MP and Magic Defence is low, so beware of spell casters. 3.0 Party Information
---------------------
Trickster Online has a little something extra for those who form a huge party. If you meet the requirements below as well as have a level difference less than 31, then you can form a unique party that will multiply your EXP gain in the game. Royal Party:
You will need one of each type in order to form a Royal Party. Since you're a Buffalo, you will need a Magic Type (Dragon or Sheep), Sense Type (Lion or Fox), and Charm Type (Raccoon or Cat). You will need at least 4 in a party to activate Royal Party.
2 in a Party: Not Possible (unless Royal Party is already formed then you get x1.5exp if in the same map)
3 in a Party: Not Possible (unless Royal Party is already formed then you get x1.5exp if in the same map)
4 in a Party: x1.5exp if in the same map
5 in a Party: x2.0exp if in the same map
6 in a Party: x2.5exp if in the same map Type Party:
You will need at least 3 more Buffalos in your party (4 in total) to activate Type Party. The most Bonus EXP you can gain in a Type Party is x2.0 (or so I heard).
2 in a Party: Not Possible (unless Type Party is already formed then you get x1.2exp if in the same map)
3 in a Party: Not Possible (unless Type Party is already formed then you get x1.4exp if in the same map)
4 in a Party: x1.4exp if in the same map
5 in a Party: x1.7exp if in the same map
6 in a Party: x2.0exp if in the same map Special Party (Gender)
This is known as the sexist party. Buffalos are Male, so you will need to party with only males. I guess you could call this a "Sausage Party" (haha). This includes the Dragon, Lion, and/or Racoon. You will need at least 3 more males (4 in total) to activate Special Party.
2 in a Party: Not Possible (unless Special Party is already formed then you get x1.5exp if in the same map)
3 in a Party: Not Possible (unless Special Party is already formed then you get x1.5exp if in the same map)
4 in a Party: x1.5exp if in the same map
5 in a Party: x2.0exp if in the same map
6 in a Party: x2.5exp if in the same map Special Party (Level)
This is the second form of making a Special Party, exept it's by level. You will need at least 4 in a party to activate Special Party.
6 in a Party: x2.5exp if in the same map Normal Party
If a party is formed and doesnt meet the requirements as the other parties above, then a Normal Party will be formed. The most Bonus EXP you can gain is x1.5 (or so I heard).
2 in a Party: x1.2exp if in the same map
3 in a Party: x1.3exp if in the same map
4 in a Party: x1.3exp if in the same map
5 in a Party: x1.4exp if in the same map
6 in a Party: x1.5exp if in the same map Questions and Answers Q. Do special parties increase TM EXP as well? A. Well, TM increases when you drill and find an item or when a monster dies while you have the green arrow above their heads (without the P). If you're party is in NO EXP SHARE, then your TMP increase won't be amplified by special parties. However, (rumor) I heard that if you're on SHARE EXP that you'll be sharing a little amplified TM EXP as well. |
Originally Posted by Ashmendon After some tests done ingame, I found that TM EXP is also affected by the EXP multiplier of the party whether it is NO EXP SHARE or SHARED EXP. It is true though that you get more TM EXP from SHARED EXP. The reason behind this is: in NO EXP share, you get the full TM EXP of the monster you kill (including the multiplier). In SHARED EXP, you get the full TM EXP of the monster you kill, and the full TM EXP of all the monsters that your partymates kill, including the multiplier. | Q. Royal Party gives more TM EXP than Special Party right? A. Wrong. Royal Party and Special Party gives the same amount of TM EXP (x2.5 maximum). There were tests done already. Also, if it were true, then Trickster Online shouldn't make Special Party a dominant party if you had all males and all class types in a party. ------------------------
4.0 Growth Point & Build
------------------------ How to Read Builds
When someone says 4114 or 4123, they're saying the numbers respectively according to the Growth Point Chart in game. First number is for Power. Second number is for Magic. Third number is for Sense. Fourth Number is for Charm.
Power includes Attack Power (AP), Accuracy (AC), and Attack Delay (DX)
Magic includes Magic Points (MP), Magic Attack (MA), and Magic Defense (MD)
Sense includes Weight Capacity (WT), Perception (DA), and Luck (LK)
Charm includes Health Points (HP), Defense (DP), and Evasion (HV)
And to go a little more in depth: Power
- Attack Power: Determines amount of Physical Damage done to enemies
- Accuracy: Determines the amount of hit rates (as well as Gun Damage for Sense)
- Delay: Determines the amount of time between each attack. Lower delay means
faster speed. Magic
- Max MP: Increases total Magic Points
- Magic Attack: Determines the amount of damage done by spells
- Magic Defense: Increases resistance done by enemy spells Sense
- Weight Capacity: Amount of weight your character can carry
- Perception: Digging accuracy, increases compounding success rate, and critical attack damage (exept for Gun users) Note: Cap for perfect drill detection is at DA 90; Cap for near perfect Miniature Compounding is at DA 95.
- Luck: Increases spell, skill, and gun hit rate as well as raise critical attack rate Note: Cap is at 90% normal critical attack, 60% skill critical attack Charm
- Max HP: Increases total Health Points
- Defense Power: Increases resistance done by enemy physical attacks
- Evasion: Increases the ability to dodge and chances of blocking Understanding Buffalo's Build
A Buffalo's damage is executed as melee attacks. This means, to do more damage, you'll want as much Attack Power as you can get. Therefor, keep Power at 4 in the Growth Chart if you want to deal heavy damage.
A Buffalo would be more useful if Magic Points and Magic Defence were high, however, Magic Attack is completely useless. Leave Magic at 1 in the Growth Chart. If you need more MP or MD, you'd have to sacrifice your Bonus Points on MP or MD, but most won't recommend it.
Your Growth Point for Sense and Charm really depends on how you play. Both Sense and Charm can be really useful to Buffalos.
Here's some Pros and Cons to help you choose your Growth Point for Sense and Charm: Power 4 Magic 1 Sense 1 Charm 4 ~ Highly Recommended
If you don't pay attention to HP much or would like to have the game play a bit more easily, then choose this build. This build will give you the high Defence and Health Points compared to the other builds below. The bad thing about this build is that you'll suck for drilling and you can't really carry a lot of stuff. Power 4 Magic 1 Sense 2 Charm 3
If you would like a little more luck with drilling and finding better drops, choose this build. The defense is still fair, but not the best. This build will allow you to hold a little more stuff compared to the 4114 build. Also, your Critical Rate will be better compared to the 4114 Build. Power 4 Magic 1 Sense 3 Charm 2
Your defence is a bit below average, so you'll have to pay attention to your HP more often so you can heal before you die. Your drilling will be a lot better, you can carry a lot more stuff, and your Critical Rate will be better compared to the 4114 and 4123 build. Power 4 Magic 1 Sense 4 Charm 1
If you choose this build, you must like living dangerously. Your Defence and HP is extremely low, meaning you'll be burning a LOT of HP Potions to survive. The good thing about this build, though, is that you can carry a lot of stuff, your Critical Rate will increase, and your drilling will be at optimum. Understanding Buffalo's Bonus Point Allocation
Many people ask "Where should I put my Bonus Points?" and the answer is "Wherever the hell you want to put it." You have freedom of choice to choose where you want to put your Bonus Points. Maybe you what you meant to say was "Where should I put my Bonus Points to achieve optimum damage?" Then the answer is "Pump it all in Attack Power (AP)."
Well, that was just a suggestion. It's not mandatory, but most people would recommended placing your Bonus Points on AP. If you're the type that doesn't care about optimum power, then you may place your Bonus Points anywhere else. If you want to attack faster, place them in DX. If you prefer a higher critical rate, add them to LK. If you want more items, add them to WT. My suggestion is to stay with AP and buy pets or compound equipments if you need bonus points anywhere else. ---------------------

---CujoEX's Personal Recommendation Build---------------------------------------- *Recommended*
Here's my own build. You don't have to follow some of the skills in the order mentioned but this is what you should have by TM LV 125. The reason why some skills aren't mastered is because my idea is to save the TM for the upcoming Third Job Skills. The Third Job Skills require LV 10 Shockvibe, LV 10 Tidal Slash, and LV 10 Blazing Strike, so I included them in my builds. You have an option with Berserk, though, and you can choose Piercing Strike instead. If you happen to have extra TM points after TM LV 125, it's entirely up to you to use those points on any other First or Second Job Skills or save and wait for the Third Job Skills to be released in English Trickster Online. 114 |Tidal Slash |Master Questions and Answers Q. What's the point of getting Shockwave AND Burning Rave? A. Shockwave is a prerequisite of Knockdown which is a very useful skill which paralizes opponents (including bosses). Burning Rave saves a lot on MP and is a prerequisite of Pumping Heart which gives you the ability to increase your attack damage. *Recommended* 1v1 Build Burning Rave and Sword Attribution Build

120 |Blazing Strike |Master Questions and Answers Q. Which build is the best to follow? A, It depends what you're looking for. Skill Leading Build gives you power up and status skills. When fighting opponents, you can screw up their status which gives you time to do massive damage with your on-off (active) skills. While for the Sword Attribution Build, you'll have a skill called Berserk which can stack with Pumping Heart and can greatly increase your attack damage. Blazing Strikeis the strongest skill in the Second Job list and combining all those skills can deal one hell of a damage. Q. Which is stronger: English TO's Blazing Strike or Japanese TO's Shinobi Combo? A. Well, English TO's Fast Attack changed from Japanese's TO's 5 Hit Shinobi Combo to 324% Damage. Blazing Strike can have it's own extra damage from critical between each combo, but it could also miss between each combo. As for Fast Attack, it's just one attack with an increased high hitrate. So in a way, Fast Attack can be better.
However, if you plan to use Bull's Eye, Blazing Strike won't miss as much. In a long run with Bull's Eye activated, Shinobi Combo does more damage than Fast Attack.

6.0 Player vs Player (PvP) Information
--------------------------------------
There are no such thing as a "Sucky Class." Each class is unique in their own way. Some classes may be bad during First Job, but be GODLIKE in their Second Job or Third Job. If you think about it in a long run, all classes are equal in their own way. However, if you want to go 1v1 in a PvP battle, here are the type's weaknesses.
Power Type defeats Sense Type
Magic Type defeats Power Type
Sense Type defeats Charm Type
Charm Type defeats Magic Type
As for description, I haven't really done a lot of research on this. But what I can tell you is that next to each monster's name is an icon that shows what kind of type they are. If they have an "eye" as their icon, then most likely they're weak to Physical Attacks. ------------------
7.0 Where to Train
------------------
Assuming that you're a 4114 Build, Pure AP, and wearing Normal/Sharp Equipments, here's a "Where to Train" guide for you. I cant guarentee it's the best path to choose, but this information was noted through experience. This guide can also work for Bunnies, Pure AP Cats (with Power Blow and Titanium Wrist; Volley Kick), and Pure AP Raccoons (With Power Blow and Titanium Wrist; Card Strike).
For other information on 'Where to Train' for other classes, check out CujoEX's Where to Train Guide Thread. --------------------------

LV 1~5 Beach Field 4 (Fanta Slime and Sea Scorpians) or Coral Field 3 (Trobbie and Bluffy)
LV 5~10 Beach Field 3 (Golden Moles and Hula Octopus) or Beach Field 2 (Golden Moles and Fan Lizards)
LV 10~15 Beach Field 2 (Fan Lizards or Pineapple), Beach Field 1 (Sand Demon), or Coral Field 6 (Thiefmon)
LV 15~20 Beach Field 2 (Pineapple), Beach Field 1 (Sand Demon), or Seabed Field 4 (Popeyed Anemones)
LV 20~30 Seabed Field 4 (Popeyed Anemones)or South East Forest (Queen Yamu and Popo)
LV 30~35 South East Forest (Popo) or South West Forest (Ant and Mantis)
LV 35~40 South West Forest (Mantis) or Path to Oops Wharf (Sea Tiger and Goma)
LV 40~50 Path to Oops Wharf (Goma) or Path to Phantom School (Halli and Galli)
LV 50~60 Path to Phantom School (Galli) or Relics Field 4 (Aposis)
LV 60~70 Relics Field 4 (Aposis) or Path to Black Swamp (Electric Snails)
LV 70~80 Path to Black Swamp (Electric Snails), Swamp Field 2 (Swamp Sharks and Arachnes), Swamp Field 6 (Arachnes), or Nora Sewage (Nora Bigs)
LV 80~95 Swamp Field 2 (Swamp Sharks and Arachnes), Swamp Field 6 (Arachnes), or Nora Sewage (Nora Bigs)
LV 95~135 Swamp Field 6 (Arachnes) or Path to Snowhill (Jokers and BugBears)
LV 135~?? Path to Snowhill (Jokers and BugBears) or Showhill Field 3 --------------------------
7.2 Where to Train for TMP
--------------------------
+ TM Quest List (By Citrustang)
+ Mel's Card Quest List (By Wedekit)
Use the links above. Do every quest that you can (excluding dungeon TMP Quests for LV 80 and below since they don't give that much TMP, unless you want to then no one's really stopping you). Do every LV 80+ TMP Quest you can.
Another way to train your TM is to drill using Stage 4 or higher stage drills in the deepest place you can drill. Nora Drills at Nora Sewage with a Royal/Special Party is a great way to train TM if you're a low level, though they're expensive if you're not well funded. ---------------------------------------
7.3 Where to Train using Monster Quests
--------------------------------------- Sambo's Quest Guide
Use the link above, by Sambo. You don't have to do them all. The following information are the quests that I would do (with reasons). I won't be including any quests under LV 50. In my opinion, I level faster fighting monsters in guide 7.1. The LV 50+ quests are optional if you can't find a good Royal/Special Party. The quests are arranged by Suggested Level.

7.4 Where to Train using Item Quests
------------------------------------
+ Sambo's Quest Guide
Use the link above, by Sambo. You don't have to do them all. The following information are the quests that I would do (with reasons).
Quest: LV 5 Winnie's Request
NPC: Winnie
NPC Location: Left of Coral Town
Suggested # of Times: 5 times
Suggested LV: 20+
Reason: Fair EXP. You train with Popeyed Anemones (Seabed Field 4) around LV 20.
Quest: A Sad Decision
NPC: Weepy Nora
NPC Location: Bottom Left of Nora Sewage
Location: Aquarius, give Don the Nora Cardkey
Suggested # of Times: 25
Suggested LV: 80 to collect Nora Sprays; LV 25+ to do them
Reason: If you happen to get 125 sprays for any LV 25 character, you can get from LV 25 to LV 36 in under a minute. At LV 80, it's a great place to train for Buffalos if you can form a Royal Party. You can collect Nora Sprays while you're training there.
Quest: Evil Spirit of School
NPC: Shaman
NPC Location: Top Right of 1f Hall Way in Phantom School
Location: Phantom School 1F
Suggested # of Times: 3
Suggested LV: 30
Reason: You have three chances of getting a Mind Body Charm which is great for compounding extra HP (or was it DP?) The quest is easy to do for Buffalos.
Quest: Toilette Mara Searching for Tissues
NPC: Toilette Mara
NPC Location: Top left in 1f Toilet
Location: Phantom School - 1f Toilet
Suggested # of Times: 5
Suggested LV: 40
Reason: The quest is available at LV 30, but I recommend doing it at LV 40 so you can use a cheap and better drill. You'll have a chance to get Silver Earrings and Duo Doctors. Your main goal is to get a Duo Doctor which is compoundable for DP. Finding Red Tissues aren't easy though, so you might want to wait until LV 80 and use a Chaos Drill.
Quest: Runner-Up Eliot Searching for Genealogy
NPC: Elliot the 2nd
NPC Location: Top Right of Phantom School 2-2
Location: Phantom School 2-2
Suggested # of Times: 5
Suggested LV: 40
Reason: During the 3rd, 4th, and 5th quest, you'll have a chance to get a Possessed Fork or Acceptance Trunks. Both accessories are compoundable for AP. Finding Study Notes aren't easy though, so you might want to wait until LV 80 and use a Chaos Drill.
Quest: Popuri Request
NPC: Popuri
NPC Location: Top Left of Moss Dungeon
Location: Popuri: Moss Dungeon
Suggested # of Times: 5
Suggested LV: 40
Reason: You could do the quest at LV 10, but you won't have a good enough drill to find the Popuri Whistles. At LV 40, you can buy LV 40 drills that are easy to use and cheap for the dungeon. Doing it 5 times will not only give you 250,000 TMP but also a Watch Necklace (or two if you're lucky).
Quest: The Intelligent Object
NPC: Wise Owl
NPC Location: On the center tree branch of Gate to Black Swamp
Location: Gate to Black Swamp
# of Times: 5
Suggested LV: LV 80
Reason: The quest is available for LV 40+. I said LV 80 only because you can buy cheap Chaos Drills to help you dig for the items and easier to use than the other drills. Doing it the 4th time can give you a chance to get a Premium Pocket Pouch which is what most low WT Buffalos would want. Compound that Premium Pocket Pouch with WT so you can carry more Potions for your higher levels. The 5th time you'll recieve a White Owl Pet. It's not that great, but it sells a lot and is good for funding.\
Quest: Rosemary's Doll Collection
NPC: Rose Mary
NPC Location: Top Left behind the tree of Path to Techichi Volcano
Location: Path to Techichi Volcano
Suggested # of Times: 5 or 6
Suggested LV: 80+
Reason: The quest is available at LV 70, but BugBears aren't that easy to fight at that level. You could run around Path to Snowhill and collect the BugBear Dolls ont he floor. Most mages just leave them there since it's heavy to carry. Collect Duck Dolls while you're a low level in Beach Field 2 and 3. Mingo Toys are in the map north of Gate to Black Swamp fighting Mingos. Jenny Dolls are hard to find and can be found diggin in SouthWest Forrest or Path to PhantomSchool (that's where I usually find them). Your main goal is to get a Fairy Angel Red for your pet when you hit LV 100. If you don't get it the 5th time, you have one more chance on your 6th.
Quest: Haro Quest
NPC: Farmer TseTsech
NPC Location: Top Right of Cabrigal
Location: Cabrigal
Suggested # of Times: 10 or 13
Suggested LV: 90+
Reason: The quest is available for LV 70+, but unless you have high HP and/or DP equipments, you won't be able to survive the quest. You can buy the Haros, but they would cost over 100k each. During the 4th, 7th, and 10th time, you'll recieve a random LV 50 accessory. Your main goal is to get a Might Ring which can compound for extra AP (great to help you deal some major damage, which will also help you train faster). Doing it 13 times is an option. You have a 50% chance of winning a Shocking Flash Ticket which you can compound through RoseMary in Cabrigal Shop for an equipment that's meant for looks; or you can sell the ticket for fund money.
Quest: Request of Stucked Goblin
NPC: Stucked Goblin
NPC Location: Center of Phantom School 3-4
Location: Phantom School 3-4
Suggested # of Times: 5
Suggested LV: LV 100+
Reason: The quest is available at LV 40, but the monsters are LV 169. At LV 100, you should be able to handle them with a Sharp Shotel. The EXP is decent and the Ouija Boards aren't that rare (not that common either). On your 3rd and 5th quest, you'll have a chance to get an Ice Sword (just for looks). ---------

| + Shockwave deals more damage than Burning Rave, however, it has very low accuracy.
+ Bull's Eye increases your accuracy, making Shockwave almost as accurate as Burning Rave.
+ Knockdown paralizes an enemy, including bosses, for a certain period of time and is activated with Shockwave.
So think about it, why have Bull's Eye and get LV 1 Shockwave? Burning Rave doesn't need Bull's Eye. Casting Shockwave to do Knockdown will be kind of pointless with the low damage; might as well Master Shockvibe. I included both Shockwave and Bull's Eye to be at least LV 10 so it can compliment each other in a battle with monsters and pvpers. | | (Offline)

| Is it worth it to get berserk becuz it only adds 204% atk power for 20 seconds if maxed?
-------------------------------------------------
Which is better stray toss or Shinobi combo?
I was wondering if u can have both skills but i'll probably be low on TMP but not rly low compared to the "breaker" buffalos.
Is it worth to get both skills?

Yeah, I have been wondering too. Why Fast Attack but not Shinobi Combo?
| I saw it in some English TO Wiki that that's the name the GMs told the players. The English name is still unofficial though.
[quote]What do the parenthesis mean in the skill builds?]To determine the Japanese TO's Translated Skill Name. Anything with the brakets will be changed to eTO's translation when Second Job comes out.
[quote]Is it worth it to get berserk becuz it only adds 204% atk power for 20 seconds if maxed?]What I remember from Citrustang is that Berserk is one of the most recommended skills in jTO. I've never played TO so I can't share my experience. |

| Brandish Slay (which requires Straight Slay). Shinobi Combo is a great 1v1 skill, but consumes too much MP. |
I was wondering if u can have both skills but i'll probably be low on TMP but not rly low compared to the "breaker" buffalos.
| Honestly, Third Job won't come out in eTO for a long time so eventually you'll have enough TM points to get every skill for First and Second Job in a few months or so. If you were to save TM though, you'd have to sacrifice on other skills. If you just get Burning Rave and Pumping Heart during First Job, you should have enough TM to get Brandish Slay, Shinobi Combo, Berserk, and Blade Force Mastered. |
Is it worth to get both skills?
| Brandish Slay, yes. Berserk, yes. Shinobi Combo is over rated, but if you don't mind the cost of MP then yes. | | (Offline)
