Magician / Idol 2nd Job Skills List Inside!

Second Job Skills List?!

Yes. This is a translated 2nd job skills list for Magician (Raccoon) and Idol (Cat). I have translated the JWiki using Atlas Translation Package, a very interesting yet expensive program.

In order to maintain quality, I have done some reediting of the translations and made them into simplified english, for those who are not good at reading or writing english. These are not official lists. They are like FANSUBBED Lists. The information may not be as accurate as you think. I have tried my best to make it accurate, the only things I do not understand (mainly because they are not implemented in the game yet) are the Items for mastery. If something is wrong or you would like to contribute, please PM me or post telling me what is incorrect and I will fix it ASAP. Flaming is not required, only constructive critisism.

How do you read this guide?

With your eyes of course O_O; Just kidding lol this is how you read the guide.

Skill Name
Tm Level Required:
Tm Points to Learn/Master:
Previous Skills Required:
Items Required for Mastery:
Type of Skill:
Skill Chart:
What does it do:
Calculating damage/hit rate/range

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Raccoon: Magician

Card Fling
Tm Level Required: 51
Tm Points to Learn/Master: 2/2
Previous Skills Required: None
Items Required for Mastery: 18 Mary Doll Cards
Type of Skill: Active, Ranged
Skill Chart:

Consumes 1 "Empty Card". Attacks enemy with card. Damage is based on AP and HV.
Card Fling Attack Power = (attack power + evasion power ×8 )× magnification
Hit Rate Formula = Confusing (Need Help Here)

Stretch
Tm Level Required: 60
Tm Points to Learn/Master: 5/0
Previous Skills Required: Dodge Master Level 10
Items Required for Mastery: None
Type of Skill: Active-Passive, One time mastery
Skill Chart: None
This skill is activated when Dodge Master is activated. When Dodge Master is stopped, this ability stops as well. All monsters that are your level + 99 and under cannot do critical damage to you. The only exception is with guns. The critical damage caused by a gun CANNOT be stopped.
Stretch Critical Stop = All monsters under [your level + 99], exception to guns.

Bodyguard
Tm Level Required: 65
Tm Points to Learn/Master: 2/3
Previous Skills Required: Physical Training Level 1
Items Required for Mastery: 25 Water-Filled Earthworms
Type of Skill: Active
Skill Chart:

(PLEASE READ CAREFULLY) You will take damage for your teammates depending on the level + guard ratio. While in bodyguard mode, you will take half the damage of what your teammates recieved MINUS your guard ratio PERCENT.
For Example: Your ally gets hit for 2000 damage. Bodyguard takes half of it (1000) and subtracts it by the guard ratio as a percent (lets assume 58%, master Bodyguard). So 1000 - (1000 * .58) = 420 Damage is how much YOU will recieve. Your ally will only recieve 1000 because you covered half of his damage (2000) and reduced it with the guard ratio of mastered Bodyguard (1000 damage minus 58% Damage Reduction), thus making you take 420 damage.
Bodyguard Reduction = 1/2(Ally Damage) - ([1/2{Ally Damage}] * Guard Ratio)
[Do not forget to move the decimal over 2 spots in guard ratio to the left when using the above formula]

One Pair
Tm Level Required: 125
Tm Points to Learn/Master: 3/3
Previous Skills Required: Card Fling Level 10
Items Required for Mastery: 10 Cards (?)
Type of Skill: Active
Skill Chart:

Throws two cards instead of one. Much more powerful version of Card Fling. [Not sure if it consumes cards or not, need verification on this]
One Pair Attack Power = (attack power + evasion power ×8)× magnification

High Pressure
Tm Level Required: 100
Tm Points to Learn/Master: 4/3
Previous Skills Required: None
Items Required for Mastery: 8 [Air Placement] Pieces [Need help with this]
Type of Skill: Active
Skill Chart:

Concentrates the air around your character and explodes it your character. The range becomes higher as you level it up. The farther away the monster, the less damage it will do. The closer the monster, the more damage it will do. Attack power is very unstable and is determined through HP.
Calculation for damage unknown due to unsteady damage. [More Information on this technique as a whole is required]

Mutation
Tm Level Required: 115
Tm Points to Learn/Master: 4/3
Previous Skills Required: None
Items Required for Mastery: Eight Turning Cars (?)
Type of Skill: Active Transformation
Skill Chart:

You must have more than 60% HP and MP to use this skill.
Moving to a different map forces you to revert back to normal form.
Once mutation is over, your HP is reverted to half.

Mutation HV/DP Rise Value = Basic Stats * Magnification Ratio
Mutation AP/LK Loss Value = Basic Stats * Magnification Ratio

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Skill Chart:

The cat's wonderful singing voice pierces the enemy and causes damage to two or more enemies.

Attack power = (Defense×5 + Remaining HP) × power/10 [CHART power, NOT AP Power]

Tm Level Required: 110
Tm Points to Learn/Master: 4/3
Previous Skills Required: None
Items Required for Mastery: 8 Rubber Ears of Mingo (?)
Type of Skill: Active Transformation
Skill Chart:

Transformation type ability. MP Will slowly decrease as you are in Makeup Form.
You must have over 60% HP and MP to use this skill.
All other skills besides Wild Rush and Wild Knuckle are disabled.
You can run regardless of weight limit (even if it goes past 90% you can still run).
1 Critical hit is displayed as 2 normal hits.
When Makeup is over, your HP becomes half.
Moving to a different map forces you to revert back to normal form.
You cannot change positions (sitting, sleeping)[Verified: The cat sitting is a motion movement, you really cannot change positions] (09/09/06)

There's been countless topics about 2nd job skill lists already, but you did a very nice job of making it all colorful and organized. =D

Nice job.

Yeah when I saw that information I was like

"NOOOO Lions have a chance of killing us! FCUK lol"

The other thing that sparked my interest was the skill High Pressure for Raccoon. I've never heard of that skill ANYWHERE, not have I seen anyone post about it...

Yeah, I heard of it, but never was clear on it...I think it's based on hp like concert tour is but somehow different....and an obvious mob damage. If you find out more exact, i'd like to hear about it XD

Mutation is a very new skill, even for jTO. Not much information has been noted yet.

I only have the up to date information on the Jwiki, so I've tried to put as much info as possible. If you've read the skills for Mutation and Make-Up, there are slight differences, so I'm not sure if either side has the same type of stats or there are differences between the two (such as MakeUp Cats can run with weight past 90%, Raccoons mutations cant?)

I was also interested in the Triple Gelder Throw skill, lmao cats get a ranged gelder mob skill thats interesting...

Edit: The damage multiplier for High Pressure is somewhat determined in a counting way

Ex. Damage = Hp * .35,.45,.55,.65, --- 1.25,1.35,1.45

Maybe the reason why it doesn't say anything about pots because you can use pots. But i don't know maybe you can just use hp pots but not mp pots.

wtf is chart power and not ap power
and does this mean AP doesn't effect concert tour at all?

The cat's wonderful singing voice pierces the enemy and causes damage to two or more enemies.
More HP = More attack power
The range of this skill is limited. If the enemies are not lined up, they will not be attacked with Concert Tour
Attack power = (Defense×5 + Remaining HP) × power/10 [CHART power, NOT AP Power]

Chart power refers to the power listed in the chart.

If you look at the chart under Concert Tour, there is a column labeled "Power". That is the forumula used in calculating concert tour.

For example, at maxed Concert Tour, you would have (Defense * 5 + Remaining HP) * .48 (4.8/10)

Does Concert Tour miss?
Cause if it doesn't then it would be pointless to be a 4114 or 3124 DP cat
and a 1144 would be a much more superior DP cat

No information yet has been found on the accuracy of concert tour. Maybe it misses, maybe it doesnt. If something comes up, I'll post an update for all the people

An all HP Cat will out-power an all DP Cat. By the way. DP and HP on concert tour doesn't inculde the bonuses right? However, Dp might be better off in the long run.

edit > by the way, will Mana Reflector reflect physical attacks? if it does then DP Cats should switch to HP Cats :P. And will sturdy shield and shield all affect the effects of Concert Tour?

So, I'm curious. this may already be on the forums somewhere but I did a search on "mutation", "make-up" and "mutation sprites" and it didn't help me, so I'm asking. What do the cats and raccoons look like in make-up/mutation form? I think I already saw the raccoon in mutation form in someone's signature, but being a cat player I'm more interested in make-up. ^^
